How to fold and place a table tent

  1. Print the PDF on heavy paper or card (200–300 gsm) and cut along the crop marks.

  2. Score the fold line with a ruler and the back of a knife, then fold — both sides face out, each the right way up.

  3. Stand it where people sit and wait: on tables, the counter, the reception desk. Tape the bottom edges together if it slides open.

Where to put signs and stickers

  • At the till. People wait there with their phone in hand.

  • On the entrance door or window. A sticker at eye level, on the inside of the glass so it faces out and stays dry.

  • On tables and at reception. A table tent works where people sit for a while.

  • By the exit. A poster people see on their way out, when the visit is fresh.

  • Where the light is good. Glare and dark corners make codes hard to scan; test it from where people stand.

Where to hand out review cards

  • With the receipt or the bill. Slip a card into the folder or onto the tray.

  • In the order. A card in every delivery box or shopping bag.

  • At the end of an appointment. Salons, clinics and repair shops hand it over with the change or the invoice.

  • After a finished job. Contractors and cleaners leave one on the counter when they’re done.

  • At events and markets. Next to your price list or samples.

Give it to every customer the same way — no pressure to review on the spot.

Google’s rules for asking for reviews

Asking customers for reviews is fine — Google even gives every Business Profile its own review link. Two things get reviews removed and can get your profile restricted:

  • Asking only happy customers. Google’s fake engagement policy forbids selectively asking for positive reviews. Hand the card to everyone, the same way.

  • Rewards for reviews. No discounts, gifts, prize draws or payment in exchange for a review — not even a coffee. See Tips to get more reviews.

So keep the card neutral: “Review us on Google”, not “Leave us 5 stars”.
