Printing tips
Paper. Business cards feel right on 350 gsm (about 14 pt) card stock. At home, use the heaviest card your printer takes — usually 200–250 gsm — and set the paper type to “card stock” or “heavy”.
Double-sided at home. Print the print-at-home PDF on both sides and choose “flip on long edge”. The backs are mirrored on the second page, so each one lands behind its front. Print one test sheet on plain paper first and hold it to the light.
Why the bleed matters. The print-ready PDF runs the background 3 mm past the edge. A print shop cuts a stack at once and a cut can drift a little; the bleed means no white line at the edge. Keep the crop marks — they show where to cut.
Check the code. Scan the printed card with two phones before you print a full run.
NFC review cards
You can order this design printed on NFC cards and write your review link to the chip with any free NFC writer app on your phone. Customers then tap the card against their phone to open your review form; the QR code on the back stays as the fallback for phones without NFC.
Where to hand out review cards
With the receipt or the bill. Slip a card into the folder or onto the tray.
In the order. A card in every delivery box or shopping bag.
At the end of an appointment. Salons, clinics and repair shops hand it over with the change or the invoice.
After a finished job. Contractors and cleaners leave one on the counter when they’re done.
At events and markets. Next to your price list or samples.
Give it to every customer the same way — no pressure to review on the spot.
Google’s rules for asking for reviews
Asking customers for reviews is fine — Google even gives every Business Profile its own review link. Two things get reviews removed and can get your profile restricted:
Asking only happy customers. Google’s fake engagement policy forbids selectively asking for positive reviews. Hand the card to everyone, the same way.
Rewards for reviews. No discounts, gifts, prize draws or payment in exchange for a review — not even a coffee. See Tips to get more reviews.
So keep the card neutral: “Review us on Google”, not “Leave us 5 stars”.
