Ways to add video to Squarespace
- Use the Video block
Edit the page, click an insert point, choose Video and paste a YouTube or Vimeo link, or upload a file on supported plans.
- Add a video background
Edit a section, open Background and choose Video — paste a YouTube or Vimeo link.
- Use a Code block for embed code
Add a Code block and paste an iframe or widget code. Code blocks with scripts may require a Business plan or higher.
How to make a video gallery or carousel on Squarespace
Squarespace’s Video block shows one video. For a gallery, carousel or video portfolio, paste a widget into a Code block.

Add a video gallery to Squarespace with Elfsight
- Open the page
Go to Website → Pages, choose the page and click Edit.
- Add a Code block
In 7.1 click Add Section → Add a blank section, then Add block → Code. In 7.0 click + where the gallery should go and choose Code.
- Paste the code
Click the Edit icon, paste the installation code into the Content popup, stretch the block to full width and save.
