What is Duda API?
Duda platform offers a partner API which allows its users to integrate Duda resources like website creation and management into their own workflows or custom services. In essence, it is designed as a Management API, so its users are able to create, publish, and run their websites through API interface.
How to get Duda API key
- Step 1 – Log in to the dashboard
Go to the Duda website and create an account or log in to your dashboard if you already have one. Find the White Label section there.
- Step 2 – Find the API section
Click on White Label and find the API Access section in the drop-down menu.
- Step 3 – Upgrade to a Custom plan
According to the Duda policy, API Access is granted only to the users with the paid custom plan. You can get a personal pricing offer after applying for it by filling in the online form.
Duda API integration
By using Duda API you can automate key workflows for your project or for your customers. These include website creation and publishing, customers and website management, pulling analytics and more.
If you are looking for a custom integration of Duda API it will definitely require developing it from the ground up. Although the interface does provide a tool for creating your own widgets that may contain API integrations, its functionality is rather limited.
In case you don’t want to invest time and money into the programming, you can search for third-party solutions to connect Duda to any API of your needs. Try looking through the list of Elfsight integrations to see if there’s any fitting your use case.
The first version of Duda API was released in 2018 and has been constantly improving since then. In 2019 Webhooks for comments were added. In 2020 some major updates were described in the API reference: interactive API endpoints, reorganized layout, and getCollection API method.
Duda API documentation
Duda provides a Developer Work Portal that features plenty of information for developers, partners, and agencies. There are sections about the platform, its solutions and resources. You can also find the documentation and API reference.
Integration of API into your Duda website or project requires either getting a partner API access from the service (you need to upgrade to a custom paid plan) and developing your own integration as a Duda partner. You can also search for ready-made third-party API integrations to add them to your Duda website.
Duda API access includes your unique credentials used to reach and retrieve information from the Duda platform.
To reset your API password at Duda, log in to your dashboard and go to the API access section. Press Reset Password and you’ll see newly generated credentials.
