How to Add the AI Chatbot to PrestaShop
Good news: you don’t need to be a tech wizard. Two straightforward options – choose what suits your workflow.
Method 1: Inline on a specific page
- Step 1. Open the AI Chatbot product page and click “Create Widget.” Choose a template and customize the look and behavior.
- Step 2. Click “Add to Website for Free” and copy the embed code.
- Step 3. In PrestaShop Admin, go to Design → Pages and edit the page where you want the chatbot (or create a new CMS page).
- Step 4. In the page editor, switch to Source/HTML mode and paste the code where you want the conversation to appear.
- Step 5. Save the page and refresh – the chatbot shows inline right where shoppers need it.
Method 2: Floating across your store
- Step 1. In the Elfsight editor, switch to the floating layout so the chatbot appears as a corner bubble.
- Step 2. Pick bubble size, color, and position.
- Step 3. Copy the generated script snippet.
- Step 4. In PrestaShop Admin, go to Modules → Module Manager and install/enable the Custom HTML (ps_customtext) module.
- Step 5. Create a new Custom HTML block, paste the script, and hook it to displayFooter via Design → Positions (so it loads on every page).
- Step 6. Save and clear cache if needed (Advanced Parameters → Performance). Here’s the kicker – the chatbot now follows shoppers store-wide.
